Over the years I have been able to acquire a number of Darby Kent’s paintings. They have always struck me as deep and meaningful pieces that combined musical lyrics or poetic verse along with images that touch the soul in different ways at different stages of life. Darby is a creative and deep young woman. We approached her with a general proposal and she ran with it. She more than met our expectations so much so that we are challenged to keep her work. Many people have asked to buy it. Darby continued to work on our behalf doing a variety of tasks. She did signs, photo cut out boards, and tables for us. She was able to do a display of her work and had a successful interaction with the public. The Woodbridge Agricultural Society will continue to engage Darby and look forward to the “we knew her when” moment in the future. She has been an exceptional addition to our fair.
